Presentation of company

BigBlueAdventures is a new company located in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal. We work with tourism and our program comprises activities both at sea and on land.

Our objective is to offer our customers a personal experience of the rich flora and fauna of the Azores. We are most flexible and can create trips after your desires.

Our main activity at sea is whale and dolphin watching. Until 1985 spermwhales were hunted along the coasts of the Azorers to supply the increasing demand for whalefat. Today we simply observe these wonderful animals from a distance. Groups of spermwhales, bottlenose dolphins and common dolphins are resident and can be sighted all year.

On land we take you to the most interesting places of the island – by vehicle or by foot. Here you can find bubbling geysers, green-clad mountains and a magnificent display of flowers. The azorean landscape hides many exciting spots!
